Facilities

Our campsite is essentially ‘off-grid’ with no electric hookups. There are two toilets on site, one a portapotti , the other a compost toilet, each contained within its own rustic wooden hut. We also have a heated shower, soon to be joined by a second at the opposite end of the site. Both toilets and showers are checked and serviced at least one a day, more frequently during busier periods.

There are basic washing up facilities, fresh water taps and bins for recycling and waste disposal. We encourage guests to keep waste to a minimum and where possible, to use re-usable containers instead of single use plastic. Drinking water is from a mains supply and of great quality so no need for plastic water bottles.

For camper vans and motor homes there is a black waste disposal facility (CDP) but we ask that only formaldehyde free, environmentally friendly chemicals be used. Grey waste can be disposed of in designated parts of the site.

There is a good mobile signal in most parts of the site and free (but limited} wi-fi is available across most of the site but not recommended for streaming media. Marty, your host will be on hand to charge mobile phones and power banks and we can also freeze ice-packs for you. While there are no laundry facilities on the campsite itself, we have a small laundry room which is available to camping guests on request.
